Outdoor Kitchen

Rehoboth, MA

This modern outdoor kitchen pavilion blends functionality with contemporary design, offering a perfect setting for al fresco dining and entertainment. The structure is framed with sleek steel columns, supporting a pitched roof that provides shelter while maintaining an open and airy feel. A standout feature of the pavilion is the expansive folding glass and steel doors that seamlessly transition from indoor to outdoor living spaces. When open, these doors invite a natural breeze, creating an effortless connection between the kitchen and the surrounding landscape.

The kitchen is fully equipped with premium appliances, including a built-in pizza oven, which becomes the heart of the space. Its stone finish and authentic design provide both form and function, allowing for perfect wood-fired pizzas under the open sky. The counter area features an eye-catching cast glass bar countertop that blends artistry with practicality. The textured, translucent surface catches the light beautifully, creating a striking focal point for guests to gather around. Whether for casual cocktails or a gourmet meal, this pavilion offers a sophisticated yet inviting space for cooking, dining, and entertaining.

Gardenhouse

This project almost doubled the living space, both indoor and outdoor, for a growing family. The 1860’s cross-plan house sat on a double lot which had a large parking lot covering much of the property. We added space to the kitchen, which now opens out to a patio. A two-story addition has a library, office and new master suite overlooking the new garden.

Lit Arts RI

A quiet co-working space in an industrial building near the train tracks in Providence. The challenge was to provide different types of comfortable spaces and seating for writers, from extroverts who like a bit of noise to those who require silence and a studious environment. There is also a podcasting space which requires sound dampening and other acoustic conditions, as well as a Training Room, a Conference Room and two telephone rooms for zoom calls. We created a collection of rooms with good acoustic isolation from one another and quiet ventilation and air conditioning. Each space has a unique character using color, art, wallpaper and murals as well as custom cabinetry. The main space has a custom office for the organization’s managers, which features display shelving for local authors’ books. The “Quiet Car” (named in honor of the proximity to the Amtrak line) has custom writing nooks with shelving and sit-to-stand desks to allow flexibility in seating.

Cook’s Kitchen

We worked closely with the owner, the editor of a local Foodie magazine, to develop a functional and beautiful small space for this gourmet chef.

Making the most of the existing house, we added a deck to expand the entertaining potential of the new open kitchen/dining space. A custom tv and sound system cabinet was tucked into the sunporch, and the home was ready for action!
